Federal EMPP applicants have to meet the requirements of the stream under which they have applied. Applicants have to have a valid job offer to be approved for permanent residence under the Federal EMPP job offer stream. Employers should be careful when selecting candidates for positions to ensure that they are capable of performing the duties of employment being offered to them and can be expected to qualify for licensing/certification once in Canada

If an applicant is unable to meet the requirements of the program at any time during processing, they must inform the processing office immediately. Please be advised that the assessment of an application is based on a case-by-case basis, considering the particular circumstances in conjunction with the supporting documentation available to the officer.
