Median wage helper

Use this after you already have a candidate NOC. Official Job Bank and ESDC pages only. This page does not invent medians, lows, highs, or regional figures, and it does not collect a UCI or other file facts.

Wage is never the first indicator and never picks the NOC. Titles do not pick the NOC. Main duties first, lead statement second, employment requirements and Job Bank wages as confirmation only. Stream thresholds for LMIA live on the LMIA guide, reprinted from the official ESDC table with a last-checked date. Related: Work, NOC, Permanent Residence, OINP.

Confirm only

Wage does not pick the NOC. Duties do.

Use this page after you have a candidate unit group. Main duties first. Lead statement second. Employment requirements and the Job Bank wage report sit in the same confirmation bucket. A title search can start the hunt. A wage number never certifies the code.

Ask one question on the official Job Bank report: does pay sit in a plausible range for that occupation and region? If it does not, re-read the duties. If it does, that still proves nothing by itself.

Full checklist: NOC helper. Method: How to assess your NOC.

Two official wage ideas. Do not mix them.

  1. Job Bank occupation wage report. ESDC high-wage and low-wage LMIA requirements say the prevailing wage is the highest of the Job Bank median or the wage paid to current employees in the same job and location. Select a unit group below to open the official Job Bank wage report when a Job Bank title ID is mapped. If a unit group has no mapped report, this page says so and opens Compare wages with the unit-group title prefilled. Read the middle column for the community or area. If that cell is n/a, the official pages say to use the provincial or territorial figure, then the national figure. This site does not invent those numbers.
  2. ESDC high-wage or low-wage stream threshold. That is a provincial or territorial hourly threshold on the ESDC median-wage page. It chooses the LMIA stream. It is not proof of the unit group. Dollar figures stay on the official page.

Requirements pages: high-wage · low-wage. Quebec LMIA wages also use a MIFI table. Confirm that on the official ESDC page.

516 official NOC 2021 unit groups. Showing 40 (first 40 matches). Select a candidate, then open duties before you touch pay.

No unit group selected

Select a NOC 2021 unit group from the official list. Then open the ESDC duties. The Job Bank report comes after that. This page will not turn a wage into a code.
