QUESTION:

My question is regarding a LMIA exempt work permit code, C60.

If an applicant already received a nomination under one of PNP entrepreneur streams, will the applicant still be eligible to use R205a - C60 supporting letter to apply for a work permit?

RESPONSE:

Once a business candidate (e.g., entrepreneur) has been given a form Confirmation of Nomination from a province or territory, they can apply for a work permit under paragraph R204(c} (administrative code T13) instead of paragraph R205(a) (administrative code C60). In addition, a foreign national may be issued a work permit under paragraoh

R204(c) (administration code T13), even if they will be working as an entrepreneur. In this case, the foreign national must have both

© *avalid formal nomination for permanent residence from a province or territory and © “2 paragraph R204(c) support letter
