instructions for the Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots for details

The job offer requirement applies to all applicants to help ensure that those immigrating through this pilot program plan to

work in the occupation of the pilot program and are able to support themselves and their family members on fair and

reasonable wages.

The pilot program is being introduced to receive immigrants that will directly and indirectly contribute to Canada’s economy.

Directly through productive employment and decent work. And indirectly by providing care services that enable recipients

and family members to participate in the workforce. Sufficient human capital (e.g. official language, education, related work

experience, job offer) are seen as important factors for home support workers to secure work and establish economically.

As such, a job offer is required for all applicants applying for the Home Care Worker Immigration pilots. Applicants will need 000278

to show they have relevant, recent work experience or training, and a job offer for full-time work in a home care position in Canada that corresponds to the pilot they have applied to. The applicant must be likely to accept the job offer and be able to perform the job duties. We'll review things like their past training and experience to determine this. The job must be: © inthe National Occupational Classification (NOC) of the pilot they apply for: = *Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot: Child Care = * Home child care providers (NOC 44100) = * The location can't be an institutional setting such as a daycare. = *Ajob asa foster parent doesn’t count. = * Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot: Home Support = * Home support workers, caregivers and related occupations (NOC 44101) = * The location can't be an institutional setting such as a nursing home. Therefore, if an applicant is applying as a Home childcare provider (NOC 44100), a job offer for a home support worker (NOC 41101) would not be accepted. Please see here for more information. Their employer should check for any additional requirements to hire through the Home care worker immigration pilots. Also, please note that the work experience or training requirement must also be in the NOCs of 1 pilot—either child care or home support. © * They can have a mix of occupations only within the same pilot. * *For example, under HCWIP: Child Care, their experience can include both child care provider and early childhood assistant.
