Students that are moving between post-secondary levels at the same DLI can keep studying at the same DLI with their current study permit as long as they are not limited from doing so by conditions imposed on their study permit, However the IRC website advises that, if you need to extend your study permit, you may need to submit a new provincial attestation letter (PAL) or territorial attestation letter (TAL). Hello, I would like clarification on the following - if a student wants to change their program within the same DLI, are they required to apply fora new study permit? Per https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools.html, a student who is "moving in between post-secondary levels at the same DUI" can continue studying with the existing study permit. | 000280

8.19(1) FFD erccepcress Semone conse would like to confirm that this means a student who is moving toa college diploma-level course to a college certificate-level course at the same DLI is not required to apply for a new study permit, even though their current study permit states "College-Diploma" for level of study. Similarly, if a co-op work permit was issued for the diploma-level program, can this same co-op work permit be used for the placement in the certificate-level program?
