Would this be considered foreign work experience? They file taxes in Canada and have an NOA ftom the CRA. Answer: Remote selftemployed work for a foreign employer while residing or studying in Canada may be eligible under the Express Entry as foreign work experience if it meets all the other requirements. Such work experience may also be eligible towards the Federal Skilled Worker Program selection criteria. Question: Since the company hiring this PGWP open work permit holder does not operate in Canada or participate in the Canadian labor market, does this work experience count as foreign work experience for CRS point purpose, even though they are physically present in Canada whike performing the job? \A720Answer: The foreign work experience gained while working for an employer in the U.S. maybe eligible for CRS points under Express Entry for Skills ‘Transferability Points.
