QUESTION: 1am writing to seek clarification on the IRC policy regarding the eligibility and length of a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) in cases where a student gains direct admission into the final year of a three-year advanced diploma program through the credit transfer process. Specifically, | would like to understand how part-time studies in a previous program impact PGWP eligibility and duration. For better context, please consider the following scenario « *Astudent completes a two-year diploma program (Program “A") at an eligible DL! ©. * During this program, the student was enrolled part-time for a couple of semesters, which disqualifies Program “A” from meeting the full-time requirement for PGWP eligibility. ©. * The student then transfers credits from Program “A” to gain direct admission into the third year of another program (Program “B”), which is a three-year advanced diploma at an eligible DLI * * The student completes Program “8” in one year through full-time studies. Given this scenario: 1. 1. Would the student still be eligible for a PGWP, considering Program “A” included part-time studies? 2. 2. If eligible, would the length of the PGWP be based on the Actual length of program B ( 3 years) or length of Study (1 year)? 3. 3.
