My question: Does this policy also apply for someone who was legally allowed to work, but is now under RESTORATION? Submitted a new WP and want to start to work for a new employer? Response: With regards to your question, if an applicant wants to change employers is under restoration, then they need to stop working until such time IRCC processes their restoration application. When doing so, IRCC may restore both their status as a temporary resident, and then authorize them to continue to work under the conditions of their previous work permit until a decision is made on the applicant's new work permit. As such, under the policy in Extend or change the conditions on your work permit: Changing jobs or employers Canada.ca, an applicant who needs to restore status would not benefit from working for a new employer under this, public policy.
