Good morning,
hope this email finds you well. | am writing to seek clarification regarding the following;
Under Regulation 222(1)(a.1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), a study permit becomes
invalid on the day the permit holder is no longer enrolled at the designated learning institution (DL!) named in the
study permit, except when this is a result of completing their studies
However, in situations where a study permit does not name a designated learning institution (e.g., study permits
issued prior to November 8, 2024) and the permit holder is no longer enrolled at a designated learning institution, my
understanding is that the study permit would not become invalid. Is this correct?
| would greatly appreciate your guidance on this matter.
Thank you and best regards,
