Question
Please advise if the below policy can be used for a LMIA Exempt Closed Work Permit (Intra Company Transferee Managerial
[requester] in Conditions). Can it be used if the change is a change in locations (IE same employer, same job title but
offered position in different province).
Who's eligible
You must meet 2 conditions:
© *You applied for a new employer-specific work permit in Canada
© *You currently either
© “have an emplover-specific work permit or
© * are a worker who can work without a work permit
® *This does not include
= * business visitors
= * short-term workers under the Global Skills Strategy
Response
The public policy allowing workers to change employers remains in place and may be available to workers under the ICT
categories. It is important to review the specific eligibility criteria outlined by the PP to ensure that a foreign national meets.
ALL the requirements.
