R220.1(1)(a):
Conditions — study permit holder
220.1 (1) The holder of a study permit in Canada is subject to the following conditions
() they shall enroll at the designated learning institution that is named in their permit and remain enrolled there
until they complete their studies
[Previously: SP-holders were required to enroll and maintain academic progress at any DLI]
R222(1)(a):
Invalidity
222 (1) Astudy permit becomes invalid upon the first to occur of the following days
1c)
( at :1) the day on which the permit holder is no longer enrolled at the designated learning institution that is named
in the permit, other than as a result of completing their studies;
(Previously: This invalidating event was absent. SP remained valid (unless IRCC formally cancelled it) unti its
stated expiry date even if its holder stopped their enrollment or otherwise withdrew from studies, or switched to
another DLi}
My questions:
1. 1. Regarding R220.1(1)(a): does a SP-holder become non-compliant under this particular provision if they had
withdrawn from their original DLI and switched to another one prior to November 8"?
2. 2, Regarding R220.1(1)(a) and (b): does a SP-holder become non-compliant under this section if they had
withdrawn from their original DLI and did not enroll into any new studies?
3. 3. Regarding R222(1)(a): did the SP become invalid on November 8"" if the SP-holder had withdrawn from the
original DLI and switched to another DLI prior to this date?
4, 4, Regarding R222(1)(a): did the SP become invalid on November 8" if the SP-holder had withdrawn from the
