Answer: Please refer to the Ministerial instructions respecting the Express Entry system to learn more about foreign work experience. In order for work that is performed while physically outside of Canada to be considered foreign work experience, it must meetall the requirements. Foreign work experience is defined as work experience that

© *is acquired by a foreign national outside Canada in one or more occupations listed in TEER Category 0, 1, 20r 3of

the National Occupational Classification;

# * consists of full-time work experience, or equivalent part-time experience, with one or more employers;

© *is acquired within the 10-year period preceding the application

© *is paid by wages or a commission. It is possible to obtain foreign work experience by working remotely from abroad for a Canadian employer. Please be advised that the assessment of an application is conducted on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration the specific circumstances and the supporting documentation available to the officer.
