Question: Situation: Student completed a two-year diploma program inside Canada between Fall 2021 and Winter 2023. (Sept 2021 till April 2023) Because of covid the college changed the program delivery method to hybrid, so students only went once a week for lab in person, rest of the program was delivered in online classes IRC instructions for PGWP updated on August 25, 2022 International students studying online from abroad or who submit a study permit application no later than August 31, 2022, will continue to be able to complete up to 100% of their program online without affecting their PGWP eligibility. Answer: As per Ministerial Instructions(Ml) 30, outlines the requirements to obtain Canadian Education points. As part of the applicants’ studies, those obtained in winter 2023 fall are outside of the exemption dates as per MI30(6) they would not be awarded Canadian education points.
