change when submitting their application to satisfy the officer of the program change prior to November 1, 2024.

| would like to request clarification regarding the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) field of study exemption for a student who has

transferred to a program different from the one they initially applied for with their Study Permit (SP).

Specifically, I am seeking confirmation on whether the student can still be exempt from the field of study requirement for their PGWP,

even if they graduate from a program that is not aligned with eligible PGWP field of study, provided that thei initial SP was submitted

before November 1, 2024.

Scenario

A student submitted their initial SP application for Program A before November 1, 2024, and later transferred to Program B, which is

not aligned with eligible PGWP field of study. The student will graduate from Program B and meet all the general eligibility requirements 01043

Will the student be exempt from the field of study requirement upon graduation from Program B, even though they are graduating from a different program than the one listed on the initial SP? 2. If the student graduates from a program different from the one in the intial SP, are there any additional requirements for them to be exempt from the field of study requirement? Specifically: © Does the student need to submit a transfer request, or receive a new Letter of Acceptance, or begin enrollment in the new program before November 1, 2024, to maintain exemption? 3. If the student needs to extend their SP for Program B after November 1, 2024: © As the extension is for a program different from the one on the initial SP, will the student be exempt from the field of study requirement? © On if the student submits the transfer request, or receives a new Letter of Acceptance, or begins enrollment in the new program before November 1, 2024, can they extend their SP for Program B and still be exempt from the field of study requirement? 4, If the student needs to apply for a change of conditions to their SP after November 1, 2024: © Does an application to change conditions differ from an SP extension, and does it affect the field of study exemption? ¢ Ifthe change of conditions request is for a program different from the one on the initial SP, will the student be exempt from the field of study requirement? © Or ifthe student submits a transfer request, receives a new Letter of Acceptance, or begins enrollment in the new program before November 1, 2024, can they apply for a change of conditions and still be exempt from the field of study requirement? ‘Thank you for your time in this matter.
