If a foreign national’s study permit was approved before November 1, 2024, and ~ they subsequently change their field of study while remaining at the same Designated Learning Institution (DLI), will the new field of study requirement for PGWP eligibility apply to them? Context: The operational guidelines state that if a study permit was approved before November 1, 2024, the foreign national is not required to meet the new field of study requirement for PGWP eligibility, but does it still apply even if they: 1. Change their program of study at the same DLI, or 2. Extend their study permit. Specific Points of Clarification: 1. Is the exemption from the field of study requirement tied to the original study permit application date (i.e., approval before November 1, 2024)?
