QUESTION; understand that the rules surrounding work permit application under the Start-up Visa program have recently amended, and I ‘would like to request for a clarification about the proof of settlement finds Prior to the change, the validity of the work permit was one (1) year, whereas currently itis valid for three (3) years. Are the figures in the Low Income Cut Off table for 1 year o for 3 years? For instance, for a family for 4, would the applicant need to show $54,594 or $163,782 of settlement finds since we can only request for a work permit for three (3) years under the new ruks? We look forward to hearing from you RESPONSE: For proof of settlement funds for the new 3-year Start-Up Visa open work permit, the applicant needs to only demonstrate these funds for one year and not three.
