This person initiates the landing procedure and confirms their presence in Canada in the PR portal and is now waiting for their confirmation of permanent residence document. After confirming their presence in Canada their work permit expired and they did not apply for an extension of their status. They are now inside of Canada without status waiting for the issuance of the [requester] this person become a permanent resident at this point? Or do they have to apply to restore their status first?
