Regardless of the date of submission for the visitor record application, the applicant must pay the applicable fees for the application. Ifthe applicant applies for restoration of status, they can only restore their status to that ofa temporary resident and to the authorization they held immediately prior. The applicant has 90 days from the date of the refusal notice to apply for restoration, if otherwise eligible. Thave a query : An applicant applied for a work permit which was refused. The refusal letter stats *Your temporary resident status expired on February 06, 2025. You can apply for restoration within 90 days*,

Question : Ifan applicant applies for the visitor record on the same day of reflisal which is February 06, 2025, does he/she need to pay restoration fees ?

We have a belief that ifa visitor record is applied on the same day of refusal, there isn't a need to pay restoration fees. Restoration foes would be requited if Visitor record is applied on next day (for eg, February 07, 2024 in this case ). Kindly suggest ifthis is correct ?
