© * The applicant must be a PR at the time of application (and maintain it up until the time they take the oathof
citizenship) and not have any unmet conditions related to their PR status;
"They must have a minimum of 1,095 days of physical presence within Canada during their eligibility period (five years
before the date of application)
© * Each day as a PR counts as one day toward the physical presence calculation; and
© * Each day as a TR counts as one half day up until a total of 365 days of credit toward the physical presence
calculation.
© * Any days spent in Canada out of status do not count toward the physical presence requirement.
* Ensure the applicant can meet the requirement under the Income Tax Act for 3 taxation years that fall fully or
