Based on the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR): Section 222(1)(a) states that a study permit becomes invalid upon the first to occur of the following days: (a) the day that is 90 days after the day on which the permit holder completes their studies. ootazs

Considering section 222(1)(a), when a study permit holder completes an academic program, receives a program completion notification from their designated learning institution (DL!), and subsequently begins a new academic program in the following semester at the same DLI, my understanding is that section 222(1)(a) does not invalidate their study permit.
