RESPONSE: Each program is assessed separately against the field of study requirements. Please note that all graduates of bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctoral degree programs, as well as graduates from PGWP-eligible flight schools, are exempt from the field of study requirement. ifthe student applies for a study permit on or after November 1, 2024 to complete the same program of study as their initial study permit, then the program does not need to meet the field of study requirement to be considered a PGWP-eligible program ifthe student applies for a study permit on or after November 1, 2024 to start a different program, this program must meet the field of study requirements to be considered a PGWP-eligible program. Question 2: Assuming that the second program of study is ina PGWP-eligible field, but the first one wouldn't be (especially since this requirement did not exist when they applied for and was granted the first study permit), what would be the duration of their PGWP? The accumulated duration of the two programs? Only the duration equivalent to the second one? RESPONSE: To qualify for program stacking in relation to PGWP duration, both PGWP-eligible programs must * *bea minimum of 8 months in duration and © * be completed at a PGWP-eligible DLI within 2 years of the completion of the first program.
