To qualify for the Home Care Worker Immigration pilots, applicants must have enough relevant work experience OR training.

Applicants must have either 6 months of continuous, full-time and relevant work experience in the past 3 years OR

completed relevant training that was at least 6 months in length, resulted in a post-secondary diploma, certificate or

credential, and was completed in the past 2 years before they apply.

The work experience or training needs to correspond to the occupation that the applicant is applying to.

For the Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot: Child Care, applicants are required to have work experience or classroom

training as a Home child care provider (NOC 44100) and/or an Early childhood educator and assistant (NOC 42202). Multiple

occupations are listed and included under these job titles. Please note, experience or training as an early childhood educator,

day care teacher, or supervisor will not be considered eligible. As such, Early Child Educator courses would not qualify

If the training is completed outside Canada, they don’t need an educational credential assessment (unless they are also using

the training to meet the education requirement). However, the applicant must provide proof of a completed credential

which can be from a private institute

Does that imply that if someone has graduated from an ECE course, will they qualify on this basis or they need to specifically complete an "Early Childhood Assistant Program"? Lastly, if the training program is completed from outside Canada, since ECA is not required, are there any minimum standards that the education provider needs to meet for qualifying for this requirement? For example, can the education provider be a private institute or does it need to be approved by a relevant government authority in that country? Warm regards,
