Please see our response to your question. +e Thank you for contacting the Immigration Representative [requester] must have a genuine and valid job offer for full-time employment in a home care occupation in Canada, to be eligible. The position must be in either the Home Child Care Provider (NOC 44100) or Home Support Worker (NOC 44101) ‘occupation and correspond to the pilot which they are applying to. However, the work experience and training requirements have a broader definition, allowing applicants that have work experience or training in a related occupation to apply. For example, an applicant may use work experience as a personal support worker (NOC 33102) that was gained in an institutional setting to satisfy the work experience requirement. In addition, however, the applicant will require a job offer for a home support worker (NOC 44101) position that demonstrates the applicant will, upon accepting the job offer, provide care in an in-home, residential setting. Job Offer As you mentioned, the job offer cannot be from an institutional setting, such as a nursing home. The job offer must be for a home care position ina residential setting. To hire through the pilots, you (the potential employer) must be a private household OR a business or non-profit organization providing direct-care services in a residential setting. If the job offer is from a business or non-profit organization, the employer must have: © *adirect relationship with your employee, meaning you must be directly responsible for © *hiring the employee © * managing work conditions © *paying the employee © *been providing the same type of care services as the job being offered for at least 1 year before the job offer was made This includes organizations that directly hire full-time workers to provide short-term or occasional home care for those who are semi-independent or recovering from an injury or illness, for example: © *home health care service providers © *home care support service providers © * direct care agencies © * personal care services in residential settings ooiss2
