Dear [requester],

Jam emailing to get clarification on eligibility requirements for spouses of high-skilled workers. On the Who can apoly
page, under Principal Applicant Requirements, one of the requirements is:
oots74
8.19(1) FFD erccepcress Semone conse
Your work permit or authorized work must be valid for at least 16 months after we receive your spouse or
common law partner's open work permit application.
Could you clarity if this requirement applies just to the validity of the principal applicant's work permit, or if their job offers
must also be for a minimum of 16 months? Specifically, in the case of PGWP holders employed in a high-skilled
occupation, does their job offer need to be at least 16 months, or is it sufficient that their work permit meets the 16
months duration requirement?
Thank you for taking the time to provide this clarification.
Best regards,
oots7s
