Because these work permit applicants are residing in Canada, they are exempt from the requirement to complete new medicals and could include proof ofan immigration medical completed in the previous 5 years. However, this means that their POE letters list a medical examination validity that is offen expired. As per the IRCC instructions, the POE letter is only valid until the date of their medical exam. Are there instructions saying that these applicants are still allowed to apply to have their work permits issued despite the fact that their POE letter was issued with an already expired date of medical valty Below are the IRC instructions.
