Graduate education or above Students who remain within the same level of study while changing programs at the same institution do not require anew Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) when applying for at study permit extension. Response: Students who changed DLIs before November 15, 2024, through their IRCC secure account or web page, may keep studying at their DLi with their current study permit as long as they still meet their study permit conditions When applying to extend their study permit to cover the study period at the new DLI, unless they meet one of the exceptions they must submit a provincial/territorial attestation letter PAL/TAL with their application. For example, students already in Canada who are applying for a study permit extension at the same DL! and level of study as their current study permit do not require at PAL/[requester] applicant will need to provide proof that they meet one of the above exceptions if they don’t provide at PAL/TAL with their application.
