For the Child Care stream, applicants are required to have work experience or classroom training as a Home child care provider (NOC 44100) and/or an Early childhood educator and assistant (NOC 42202). Multiple occupations are listed and included under these job titles. Please note, experience or training as a foster parent, an early childhood educator, day care teacher, or supervisor will not be considered eligible For the Home Support stream applicants are required to have work experience or classroom training as a Home support worker, caregiver and related occupation (NOC 44101) and/or a Nurse aide, orderly and patient service associate (NOC 33102), The training must:

© * be at least 6 months in duration and completed within the 2 years before the application is made

© * be targeted towards an eligible occupation

© *be at the post-secondary level

© *be full-time, meaning at least 15 hours of training per week during the academic year or period of study

© * be offered mainly in an in-person classroom environment

* *have been started when the applicant was 17 years or older

© * result in a post-secondary diploma, certificate or credential Training that was done mainly online and on-the-job training are not considered eligible. Based on the training requirements you described, the program may face challenges meeting the criteria: Duration: The program is 25 weeks, which is one week short of the full 6 months required. While close, IRCC typically requires applicants to meet the stated minimums exactly. In-Person Training: The training being primarily online (even though synchronous with live teachers) does not align with the requirement for training to be offered mainly in an in-person classroom environment. In addition, the “in-person placement training” may not be considered eligible if it would be considered “on-the-job training” (i.e., practical/hands on training ina work environment). Having mainly online training and on-the-job training are specifically noted as not counting toward the training requirements. Given these details, itis unlikely that this training program/credential would meet the training criteria for the pilot.
