This is because the key factor is the date the study permit application was submitted, rather than the start date of the study program. Is this interpretation correct? The field of study requirement is applicable depending on the student's level of study and when they applied for their study permit. As such, if a student is authorized to study in a program with a study permit that they applied for before November 1, 2024, then there are no field of study requirements when applying for [requester] note that all PGWP applications (except those from flight school graduates) submitted on or after November 1, 2024 must comply with the new language requirements, regardless of when the student applied for their study permit or when they started their program of study.
