Educational Institution or a transcript issued by the school. Please note that the candidate should submit a copy of their diploma or

degree certificate upon receipt. We recommend that candidates submit a letter of explanation if they do not provide a copy of their

degree or certificate.

Please be advised that the assessment of an application is based on a case-by-case basis; each application will be considered on its,

own merits, with a final decision based on a review of all the information available to the officer at the time of decision, The onus is

T'm writing to seek clarifications regarding a question in the Express Entry profi.

Under "Study and languages", candidates are required to fill out information related to their educational credentials. One of the

questions under "Education history” requires the candidate to select status to describe their standing at the end of study period.

Options available inchide: 1) in good standing but no certificate or diploma or degree awarded, 2) certificate or diploma or oos7s1

degree awarded, 3) not completed. Points will only be awarded if option 2 is selected. — : My question is, for candidates who have completed their graduate level of study in April, but whose degree is yet to be granted at the convocation that's going to be held in November, are they only allowed to select option 2 "degree awarded” afier the degree certificate is received at the convocation? If they selected option 2 when registering their EE profile in October, received an ITA, had their degree granted before the submission of APR, would this application be refused because they did not answer the question truthfully during the registration process? Many students who find themselves in similar circumstances are worried that they will miss the opportunity to be invited during, this waiting-period. Some may choose to select "degree awarded” when entering the EE pool while in fet their degree is not yet granted, I have worries that this will not meet the procedural requirements, Please kindly advise.
