Abachelor's degree (four-year program completed in two years, utilizing transfer credits) 2. 2. Atwo-year diploma (two-year program completed in one semester, utilizing the same transfer credits as the above bachelor degree). © *Tore-iterate, both credentials were awarded by recognized Canadian institutions, and the programs share the same transfer credits from prior studies. Given that both credentials were completed using overlapping transfer credits and were achieved in a relatively shorter time frame, | would like to confirm: 1. 1. Does this scenario qualify under the "two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees" category for 119/128 CRS points? 2. 2. How does IRCC evaluate the distinctiveness of such credentials in cases where they share significant academic overlap? Answer: A candidate may be awarded education points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) for having ‘two or more post-secondary program credentials’ as per Ministerial Instructions 11(1)(a)(vi), if the education credentials represent separate certificates, diplomas, or degrees. ff one credential is used as a component of the second credential, then it is not considered two separate credentials even though two separate certificates were awarded. To obtain points for having two or more post-secondary credentials, at least one of them must be issued at the completion of a post-secondary program of three years or more.
