If the new program of study starts more than 150 calendar days after the first date they receive written confitmation of program completion fiom their current institution, the student is eligible to work off campus only during the first 150 consecutive days afier the first date they receive written confirmation of program completion. They should then either apply to change their status to worker or visitor or leave Canada until their new program commences.

Students who have applied to extend their stay in Canada as a student are required to cease working if their study permit application is refused.

My name and [ am one of the international student advisor : My question is: Can a student who has received a completion letter from their 1** program, and has also received an acceptance letter to their 2"¢ program work full-time offcampus for the first 150 days, if their 24 program starts longer than 150 days from the completion of their first program? In this question, we are assuming the student meets all other requirements to work off campus, and it is only the 150 day gap that is in question. © From this link it states: “....... They should then either apply to change their status (for instance, change it into visitor status) or leave Canada until their new program commences” © On the other hand, from this link it states that: if you 're starting a new program, you can work full-time if you will start your new program within 150 calendar days of receiving the confirmation that you completed your previous program.
