Please see our response to your question, Work experience The work experience for the Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots must: «bein 1or both of the National Occupational Classifications (NOCs) of the pilot they apply for HCWIP: Child Care = Home child care providers (NOC 44100) = Experience as a foster parent doesn’t count. * Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202) Experience as an early childhood educator, day care teacher, or supervisor doesn’t count. ¢ HCWIP: Home Support * Home support workers, caregivers and related occupations (NOC 44101) « Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates (NOC 33102} * Work experience in NOC 33102 gained in an institutional setting (for example, long-term care) may be eligible. ‘Must be in the NOCs of 1 pilot—either child care or home support. ‘The work experience must match the NOC job description and include most of the main duties listed under the [requester] must have at least 6 months of work experience, gained within or outside [requester] the experience was gained in Canada, it needed to have been while the applicant had temporary resident status. Consequently, experience gained as a refugee would not count, as their work permit does not confer status. Please see here for more information regarding work experience. Note that individuals who made a refugee claim are also not eligible under the out-of-status and unauthorized home care workers public policy. Educational credential assessment Applicants must show that you have the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma, or higher, by getting an educational credential assessment (ECA). The application must include a copy of the actual ECA report. As stated on the website, the applicant must include the following in their application: * acopy of the ECA report * copies of degrees, diplomas, transcripts or other proof of a completed foreign credential We'll check any ECA report submitted with an application and with the organization that produced the report. ooseea
