The situation [ have is for a candidate who received his letter for a PGWP- Extension with the Interim Working Authorization on August 10, 2022, and the Interim Working Authorization was valid until May 31, 2023, as stated in the letter. This is a duration of 294 days. ‘The topic | am investigating is the PWGP Extensions that were emailed to candidates in 2022 and lasted until 2023. Online it states the following for what I believe is the same program but a different year: “The [interim working authorization] authorizes holders to begin or continue working in Canada until May 31, 2024, while they apply for a new open work permit under the public policy and await a decision on the application." You stated the candidate would enter restoration in your previous email, which helps and is appreciated, but the link provided isnt for the exact same program. The purpose stated in the quote above supports the notion that the candidate would enter restoration if their PGWP Extension application is refised but does not directly state that.
