Dear [requester]/Madam, — Thope this letter finds you well. I am writing to respectfilly bring attention to a matter that has impacted lots of applicants for the "Open Work Permit for Foreign Workers with a Support Letter from a Province or Territory," a policy that closed in December 2024. As an immigration consultant, I have assisted numerous qualified applicants in submitting their applications under this program, only to find that a significant number of them were refused due to the failure to provide the IMM 5707 family information form. While this form is indeed a required document, | helieve that its omission does not undermine or disqualify the applicant’s overall eligibility for the program, particularly when all other criteria have been met, Unfortunately, due to the closure of this policy, these applicants now face the unfortunate situation of losing their status and being required to leave [requester] outcome is particularly concerning as many of these individuals had legitimate, well-documented cases for the open work permit, and their failure to submit the IMM 5707 form was cither a simple oversight or a misunderstanding regarding its significance. In light of this, I would like to respecttilly request that IRCC provide applicants who were refused for this reason with an opportunity to supplement the IMM 5707 form, This form, while required, should not be seen as a disqualifying factor when the applicant otherwise meets all necessary qualifications, A pathway for supplementing this missing documentation would ensure that these individuals are not unfairly penalized for a technical omission, Additionally, I kindly request that IRCC consider reopening these cases or extending the policy in a way that would allow applicants to restore their status or rectify the missing documentation. ‘This will not only prevent unnecessary disruption for individuals and families but will also demonstrate a fair approach to handling minor procedural issues in light of the overall eligibility for the program. ‘Thank you for considering this request.
