Please see our response to your enquiry, below: When selecting the appropriate NOC for a specific role, we recommend comparing the job description to the NOC description rather than relying solely on the job title. As part of the application review process, it is important to note that the processing officer will evaluate and consider the following factors: © That the applicant can perform the work sought, and is likely to accept and carry out the job duties, and © Officers can use the employment requirements of the NOC in their assessment. Relevant employment requirements may include education, training or other qualifications listed in the NOC description, with the exception of Canadian licensing requirements in the case of regulated occupations. While we cannot provide direction on case-specific enquires, we recommend that you visit the following tool that provides a description of each NOC category available, including: job duties, employment requirements, and examples of titles. Using this tool will help determine which NOC to identify for the AIP client’s application. For example: © * NOC 60030 duties may entail, ‘Recruiting staff and overseeing staff training, and Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance’, whereas * * NOC 62020 duties have similar job duties, however, this occupation may include workers who are ‘employed by hospitals and other health care establishments and by cafeterias, catering companies and other food service establishments’.
