To ensure a clear understanding of the updated eligibility criteria, could you please confirm the following: 1. If an individual first entered Canada before February 28, 2025, obtained a work permit under the IRAN2023 policy, but was outside Canada at the time of this policy change, would they still be eligible to apply under the updated policy upon their return to Canada with a valid work permit? 2. If the answer to Question 1is yes, how would the policy apply to someone who first entered Canada before February 28, 2025, but never obtained or applied for any permit under this policy before leaving Canada? Would they still be eligible to apply under the updated policy upon their return?
