Do they have to drop out in the middle of the program? Or will there be exemptions to allow students to complete their program? The scenario where this question comes up: A student has a valid study permit until December 2026, but they know that they will need a study permit extension to complete their study program. What is the correct course of action: 1. Use a PAL under the 2025 cap year to apply for the extension now even ifit is more than 12 months before the expiry of their current study permit? 2, Wait and use a PAL under the 2026 cap year to apply for the extension? In this scenario, what if they are not able to secure a PAL? This is the scenario for the question. Thanks,
