Dear officer, Our client recently entered [requester] main applicant applied for and was granted a work permit under C62. However, his spouse and children did not receive a Visitor Record for the same period at the POE (YVR airport) Instead, they were told to extend their visitor status online within Canada as needed. Ive been practicing immigration for over 15 years. This rejection of issuing a visitor record for accompanying family members happened for the first time. Has there been any recent change regarding the visitor record insurance at the POE? Is this issue related to the recent CBSA rule change? I cannot find any regulation change or news stating such a change. Ifthe POE office at the airport no longer issues a visitor record even if they are with the main applicant, please advise so.
