All permanent residents who are traveling outside of Canada and do not have a valid Permanent Resident Card (PR Card) must apply for a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) to be able to return to Canada. if you have already applied for a PR Card inside Canada before your travel, you must still apply for a PRTD as PR cards cannot be mailed outside of Canada We hope you find this information helpful
