have been accepted to a DLIfor the Winter or Spring 2025 semester (starting from January 1, 2025 to May 1, 2025), and have applied for a study permit extension, and conzts

have a study permit that remains valid and that doesn'thave the DLIname printed onitand meet all your existing study permit conditions iff a student started a program at a new DLIin Jan 2025 but failed to submit their study permit extension to change DLI (because they were unaware of the policy change), are they considered non-compliant and must stop studying now? Or, can they submit a study permit extension at this time and continue their classes in the current term? If they can submit an extension, will a PAL be required? Response received (April 3): Students who started a program at a new DLIin January 2025 but did not submit their study permit extension are considered non-compliant. They must stop studying until they submit a study permit extension. They can submit the extension application now and continue their classes once it is approved. A PAL will be required with the extension application if they are extending their studies at a new DLI and new level of study.
