If the CO-OP work permit is expiring earlier than the study permit and the full duration is required, the foreign national may request an amendisient of their CO-OP as it should be issued to the same expiry date as their study permit. Note that in order to be eligible for a CO-OP work permit, you must have a valid study permit. Work as a co-op student or intern - Canada.ca In order to be eligible for a PGWP, the applicant must meet the following: © * have not previously held an open work permit issued under subparagraph R205(c)(ii), administrative code C43—post- graduation work permit category * * have had authorization to study in Canada within 180 days of receiving written confirmation from their DLI that they had completed their program when applying for a PGWP, through © *avalid study permit © * authorization to study in Canada without a study permit under paragraphs R188(1)(a) and or (b) © “have graduated from an eligible designated learning institution (DL!) and program © * have completed an eligible academic, vocational or professional training program in Canada that was a minimum of 8 months in duration and led to a degree, diploma or certificate © *have maintained full-time student status in Canada during each academic session of the program or programs completed, with exceptions made only for the following: © * leave from studies © * final academic session © * special measures between March 1, 2020, and August 31, 2024 © * have received confirmation of completion of their program of study from the eligible DL! by obtaining one of the following: © * an official letter confirming that they have met the requirements to complete their program of study © * an official transcript issued by their DLt © “ atranscript copy from their DLI's website © * an education credential from the DUI © *have met the additional language and field of study requirements, if applicable For more information on PGWP, please see Work in Canada after you graduate: Who can apply - Canada.ca We hope that this information is helpful to you. ‘Thank you kindly, 002270
