1. Completed document checklist

   The farm stream checklist says to include a copy of the document checklist with a checkmark next to each item in the package, and to keep the documents in that order.

2. Online fee payment receipt

   The checklist lists the application fee line as a copy of the online payment receipt. The amount is not copied here.

3. Farm Application 004 form

   The checklist says the candidate must complete the Farm Application 004 form and that the signature on the Alberta form must be original.

4. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada forms

   The checklist says the candidate includes IMM 0008 Generic, IMM 5669 Schedule A, IMM 0008 Schedules 4 and 4A, and IMM 5406, plus IMM 5476 and IMM 0008DEP if necessary.

5. Valid passport

   The checklist says to include a copy of the candidate’s passport, limited to the personal information page and any pages that show the expiry and renewal dates.

6. Education documents

   The checklist says to include degrees, diplomas, certificates, licences, and other documents relevant to the eligibility assessment.

7. Reference letters

   The checklist says to include work reference letters from previous employers related to the job. Each letter must be signed, dated, and on company letterhead, and must include the job title, main duties, education required, and the period worked.

8. Personal net worth statement

   The checklist requires an accountant-prepared personal net worth statement. The minimum on the checklist is not copied here.

9. Proposed business plan

   The checklist says to provide a copy of the proposed business plan.

10. Canadian financial institution endorsement

    The checklist says to include proof a Canadian financial institution will finance the proposed farm, on institution letterhead. If the plan does not need that financing, include a letter that the institution reviewed the plan and the financials.
