-
Notification of Interest from Ontario
The checklist says you must upload the Notification of Interest letter sent through your Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada account. A print screen of the letter is what the page asks for.
-
Applicant consent form
The checklist says to complete, sign, and upload the Applicant Consent Form after the invitation, once the application in the e-filing portal has been reviewed. A representative may not sign it.
-
Photograph
The checklist says you must upload a photograph of yourself. It must be a scan of a physical photo or a digital photo and must meet passport or visa photo specifications. A photo of the passport details page is not accepted.
-
Passport personal details page and Canadian visa or stamp pages
The checklist says you must upload a copy of the personal details page of your passport and every page that shows a Canadian visa or entry stamp.
-
Status documents in Canada
The checklist says to upload current and previous status documents from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or the Canada Border Services Agency, such as a work permit, study permit, temporary resident visa, or other Canadian immigration document. Maintained status uses the acknowledgement letter, fee receipt, or mailing receipt the page names.
-
Language test results
The checklist says you must upload English or French language test results taken within the two years before the application. The accepted tests and the required levels stay on the checklist.
-
Employment reference letters
The checklist says you must upload reference letters for all Ontario work experience included in the application.
-
Proof of compensation
The checklist says you must upload proof of compensation for the work experience included in the application, such as pay slips or bank statements for the first and last month, income tax documents, or an employer letter explaining why those records are unavailable.
-
Settlement funds documents
The checklist says you must upload the documents for the settlement-funds option you use, or a combination of them. Available funds use recent bank statements for the last three months, and a spouse or common-law partner statement only with a letter confirming access. Investments need the account statements and a letter from the institution that the funds can be liquidated. Ongoing Ontario employment uses the two most recent pay slips and the original job offer. A job offer uses the signed job-offer letter. The minimum amount stays on the checklist. Black out credit card numbers.
-
Resumé
The checklist says you must upload your most current resumé, covering work and education, the duties of each position, and your current residential address, email, and phone number.
-
Intention to reside in Ontario
The checklist says you must list established ties to Ontario, or a statement of intent to reside in Ontario if you have none. Examples on the page include Ontario work, study, family, and housing. Financial documents must have credit card numbers blacked out.
If this also applies
-
If a spouse, common-law partner, or dependent child is included, also add each dependent family member passport personal details page.
The checklist says that if family members are included, you must upload the personal details page from the passport of each dependent family member. That can include a spouse or common-law partner, children under 22, and their children.
-
If any of the work experience was in Canada, also add the tax statements the checklist names, or an explanation.
The checklist says that if the work experience was in Canada, upload the T4 statements and Canada Revenue Agency notices of assessment for the relevant years, or an explanation if you do not have them.
-
If you have them, you may also add work contracts.
The checklist lists work contracts as optional support for the work experience included in the application.
-
Only add other work documents when the checklist asks for them.
The checklist says other relevant work documents may be included. It also says not to add non-mandatory documents that the page does not ask for.
-
If you hold an Ontario trade licence or certification, also add that document.
The checklist says that if you work or worked in a regulated Ontario occupation that requires a licence or certification, include the licence or certification from the Ontario College of Trades or the successor the page names.
