UCI

Unique Client Identifier

IRCC client number for you. Definition only on this site. We do not collect one.

On the official record

• UCI means unique client identifier. IRCC also calls it a client identification number.
• It appears on official documents as eight digits (0000-0000) or ten digits (00-0000-0000).
• If you have never applied, you do not have one. On a form that asks, IRCC says write N/A, or leave it blank if the online field will not take N/A.

Common mix-ups

• Not an application number. One person keeps one UCI. Each file has its own application number.
• Not something this site asks for, stores, or uses to look up a file.
