Official / RED VERIFIED

IRCC Canadian Experience Class page is for skilled workers with eligible Canadian work who plan to live outside Quebec. The published test is at least one year (1,560 hours) of skilled Canadian work in the last three years, TEER 0 to 3. That work can be in more than one NOC.

Work must be gained in Canada while authorized. Self-employment and full-time student work do not count, including co-op, subject to a printed temporary public policy for some physicians. Language is CLB 7 for TEER 0 or 1, and CLB 5 for TEER 2 or 3. There is no education requirement to qualify.

Practice judgment

Practice judgment

Education can still raise a CRS rank even when CEC does not require it. Do not file the eAPR before the year of eligible Canadian work is complete.

Remote work counts only if you were physically in Canada and working for a Canadian employer. The title on the permit is not the NOC.
